GIT-8 Loop (North Central Illinois) 109 miles

Grand Illinois
Trail Segment-8 Ride.
The ride starts from historic Whispering Oaks Park
on State Route 120 in McHenry, IL. However, starting
the loop in mid-course is certainly not a problem.
The loop starts by going West to the scenic Rock Cut
State Park near Rockford via River Road. The return
is via the Grand Illinois Trail Segment-8 through
Caledoinia, Poplar Grove, Capron, up to State Line
Road, over to Hebron and Richmond, and then down to
McHenry via Ringwood. The topography varies from
flat to rolling hills. The ride is entirely on
pavement.
